I can’t stop thinking about a quote from Dan Kennedy in one of his most recent newsletters, the “No B.S. Marketing Letter,” that said…
“I believe if you don’t offend someone by noon everyday, you aren’t doing much. I know that commanding attention in a cluttered marketplace comes at a price of offending some to resonate with others. If someone isn’t writing you a nasty letter about it or complaining to some board about it, you aren’t getting noticed, period. Living in fear of offending is crippling.”
“Living in fear of offending is crippling” — quite possibly the most valuable lesson you could ever receive in regards to getting out there and getting YOUR message to YOUR targeted audience aggressively and with no fear…because the “fear of fear” is BY FAR, the most crippling of all. Think about that.
